Hey

It looks like my workhorse Gigabyte P67-UD3 rev 1 has died.

I've managed to grab a old HP (foxconn) board to get me up and running but it's not ideal. The memory is running @1333 and it's just using a standard turbo on my i5-2500k (which I normally run @4.6) I'm still getting surprisingly good performance in benchmarks and games which I guess due to my overclocked 770Gtx however I worry about the play ability of games coming out, I also lack any USB 3 ports.

I have a limited budget to replace the board and locating a good one is hard as most places don't sell them. I've been looking at MSI Z77A-G43 Z77 or Asrock Z77 Pro3 each under £100. Will either of them be a good replacement ? or could you think of another one that I could buy in the UK ?

I could wait 6 months and buy a new CPU and MB for say £300 but is that cost worth waiting for taking into account the performance gain I would get ?

Thanks for any advice.

Asus P8Z77-V LX (£59.93 )will be good enough for you until you get the new CPU/MB. http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B007KZQE7Q/?tag=pcp0f-21

+1, it is the most cheapest and compatible motherboard you can get. The ASRock Z77 Pro3 is also not bad at all.

Thanks cin 19 and sora. I did look at that board but couldn't find a supplier. I thought amazon only sold books :)
