Right so like a lot of you I have a load of used parts. DVD-RW, HARD DRIVE, PSU'S, CASES.
Rather then let them collect dust why not build a low cost computer, install Linux on it and flog it to a family member who helps you out the most.
So I have this question:
What is the cheapest motherboard, ram & cpu combo which you can find?
In British currency Pound Sterling I've found a AM1 board for 23, a AMD Semperon Dual Core 1.4ghz for 22 and 2gb of 1600mhz ddr3 crucial memory for 15, heat sink fan for 3 and paste for 2.
So I'm able to build a new rig for 65 pounds.
Can anyone get this any cheaper?
