Hello , tomorrow i will assemble the components i just bought , the parts are as following :

1 - Case : cooler master trooper ( black )
2 - CPU : i5 4690
3 - GPU : Asus 780 Direct cu ii
4 - Storage : SSHD Seagate 1 TB
5 - Motherboard : Gigabyte G1 Sniper Z97
6 - PSU : Thermaltake 850 W Gold evo blue 2 ( if i remember right )
7 - RAM : Team XTreme 16 GB Dual channel ( 2 x 8 ) [ 2400 , cl 10 & 1.65 V ]

i have read somewhere about relation between CPU and ram , will this CPU/Ram do good or do i NEED to change the ram ? thanks in advance

Solution

I think that it won't damage other components. If it does,it can only damage the mobo.
I would reduce the voltage in the BIOS if the motherboard doesn't do it by itself, just for safety.
It may reduce the RAM's clock speed, but it REALLY doesn't matter.1333 MHz is no different than 2400 MHz RAM.

All the best. PM me if you encounter any problems. ;)

well i read that the MOBO can support up to 2400 , the thing that worries me is the CPU , but from what i understand from u that nothing would happen to the cpu if the speed is automatically/manually reduced right ?

another question : if it did not reduce the speed of the ram , how will i know and how to reduce it myself ? thanks :)

The mobo supports 3000 MHz RAM. ;)

You go to the BIOS and check what the voltage of the RAM.If it is still at 1.65 volts, then reduce it manually to 1.575 volts.
If it is at 1.5 or 1.575 volts, then don't touch anything. It means that it has been automatically reduced. ;)
