I've tried my hardest to put together a decent gaming PC, and although a couple people have tried to help me, the information they've given me is conflicting and has confused me. I've done a good bit of research but still don't know who I should trust. I haven't bought any of the components yet, so nothing is set in stone, but I would really like to know if this is an alright build and/or if the selected components are compatible. Please help me out, I will be forever grateful!!!

The components are listed below

I do have a very strict budget of only 670$. So keep this in mind if you have a recommendation for a component.

And thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for your time!!!

I would go with this:

Motherboards come with cables for harddrives.

This processor can be overclocked, and when you feel it isn't keeping up with the task you can replace it with an i5 or i7 later on.

Your processor is NOT compatible with your motherboard for one thing. Notice your motherboard title has "LGA1150" in it. That specifies the CPU socket that it has. Your CPU is LGA1155 and is built for an older socket. Look for an Intel CPU with its numbers in the 4000s; those will work with your motherboard.

Lastly, you have a great case! But the case only includes one fan. Fans are cheap, but try to find a good additional fan for that case that can go in the front. Your power supply could probably be toned down to 550 watts, but having more and playing safe is always good.

And you forgot about RAM. Look at some Corsair Vengeance DDR3 RAM; that will work with your motherboard.

For the OS, you can buy either. Amazon, Newegg, etc.
