Is this safe?

Hello
So I've been having issues with my PC overheating ever since I started to do Crossfire, so I took off the side panel and the problem disappeared, but on came a new one... dust. So I went and got a cloth (Gauze) and taped it over the area where there used to be a side panel, hoping it would rid the dust. Now, the question is "Is this safe?". I was wondering this when I thought about the static electricity, I don't know if it will form or not...
If anyone could please answer that would help me out greatly.

Thanks in advance.

Specs of the PC:
FX 8320 @ 4.5GHz on Asrock 970 etx3 R2.0 With Be quiet Shadow Rock 2 cooler
6GB DDR3 1333MHz
2x XFX DD 7950 in CF
XFX Pro 650W

That sounds sketchy at best. Can you add a side fan to the panel? What case do you have? What is overheating? What fans do you have in the case?

Also, what are your motherboard temps while the CPU is at load? The 970 chipset boards get VERY VERY hot when you overclock and this could be what is causing all the heat.

The CPU, and GPU 0 although the GPU 0 is going to have its fans replaced my XFX, I also have a side pannel fan though its kinda ghetto, some avc one I got for free...

Also mobo temps are around 47-65 sometimes 70.

Can you please answer the rest of the questions there?

Is GPU 0 the top card? What temps are the CPU and GPU hitting?

This sounds like a case of no good enough airflow in the case and/or incorrectly placed fans. What is your fan setup?

Also, you do know that the bottom card only runs at x4 not x8 on that board right? That will bottleneck its performance.

70c is pretty hot for the motherboard. That will create ALOT of heat in the case.

What case do you have?

Bit Fenix Merc Alpha, GPU 0 is the top card, its at 86-90, the other one is 70-77max, CPU is 57-60 max load.

Fans before this cloth were 1 on the side panel taking out air and one on the top taking out air. I know it will bottleneck, but not by much, also does the cloth pose a danger?

And my case can't do rear because of the CPU cooler... I know the case sucks haha. Also I noticed you are a mod. thanks for taking time out your day and helping people!

And another thing, Is there any point of OCing my CPU? I have the 2 7950s, and was thinking that my stock FX 8320 bottlenecks them, if so what OC should I go for? At stock under adia 64 stress test I get 48c max. In game its a bit more because of the GPUs. Also I mainly play BF4.

With the motherboard bottleneck, the 8320 should not bottleneck the GPUs at stock. It will be fine.

Okay, thanks, what about the overclock? Should my 2 7950s be able to do 1080p ultra 120fps stable with 64players?

Oh, I do have a 120hz, also can I overclock my GPUs to 1100/1300 and my CPU to 4,5Ghz with my 650W XFX 80+ PSU?

Also with an OC I get close to 120FPS stable...
