Guys, can anyone help me a little bit?
As I have recently migrated from nvidia 560ti to msi 280x (it is nearly 25 days used with warranty and totally untouched condition, not even a single dot of dust or anything, sealed accessories ).
Here is the unboxing:-
http://www.pakgamers.com/forums/f139/unboxing-msi-r9-280x-oc-205941/

I have not reinstalled the OS that is 8.1 x64, I am currently running my gpu on a weak PSU that will get replaced within 10 days, I am getting some weird issues, currently my thermaltake lite power is giving me 440@12v according to its specs (it is an year old), the problem is that I am able to play FIFA 13 smoothly forever long but whenever I play NFS rivals, most wanted, battlefield 4 , I get a complete hang up on game just nearly after 1 min of running it, as I used to play games on full screen I did not knew what happened until I by chance played bf4 on windowed mode, a pop up comes saying "display driver has stopped working and has been recovered".
I have fresh installed amd 14.4 drivers and removed the previous one (nvidia) by uninstalling them and also removing the registry from cmd first, and then after many times of game hang ups I also then used driver sweeper latest one in safe mode.
PS there is also some screen tearing after that pop up which remains there until I restart my pc.
Temps are totally under control as I live in relatively hot area.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
:)

There might be other issues, but the one that jumps out is your system is underpowered. If you have an excellent quality PSU like Seasonic, Antec, XFX, etc, you could probably get away with 500-550W. With a good-to-decent quality PSU, 650W. AMD recommends 750W. Your Thermaltake LitePower falls into the decent category. The more you stress the GPU, the higher the power draw, the higher the chance of PSU fault or outright failure.

Yeah that seems pretty much to what I think, that is why I mentioned about my PSU.
I have ordered a rosewill capstone 550 80+ Gold with 546W on 12V Rail made by super flower (it costed me $105 to reach my place), do you think it will do the job?

And one more thing if the system is under powered then why FIFA 13 runs silky smooth no matter how long I play considering the fact that the usage remains > 62%.
PS I will pick your answer as a solution just when my new PSU arrives :) -Thanks man

I am worried about the same point.
Here is bit of an update:

I played Formula 1 2012 (totally Maxxed out @1080p) and Watch dogs (Every single thing Maxxed out except Shadow and Graphic detail to HIGH @1080p) just now for 2 hrs straight without the "slightest" jitter, very smooth no crash what so ever, extremely nice temps and stable voltage graph.
I bet this is something else other than a bad GPU.

PSU is thermaltake 600 (500W cont)

Have ordered rosewill capstone 500 made by Super Flower (546W @ 12V single rail)
I am getting that it might not be my PSU (but it is or its not, either way I have to change it coz I have already bought the capstone one but it has not arrived yet)

PS: I may need to mention one more thing (For I have tried wathdogs. fifa 13, formula1 2012, NFS rivals, mostwanted, BF4)
Only the last 3 give problem of crashing and among them only BF4 is most violent giving tearing, the rest of the 2 do give crash but none tearing while wathdogs. fifa 13, formula1 2012 run ultra smooth @1080P maxxed out for hours long.

Hmm, I doubt that it is something related to "stable drivers", it is (what I think) conflicting drivers, Check this out, after many wiping windows update still gives me this:-

Which makes it clear that there is some residue left that is why it keeps giving me nvidia drivers updates

Did you use a driver sweeping program?

yes I used DDU too and this one too:-
http://www.custompcreview.com/articles/guides/guide-properly-remove-nvidia-amd-ati-gpu-drivers/19972/

And that may be why you have this problem, I still have the Nvidia drivers from a GTX560Ti on the rig that now has a 7790 and I don't get that when W7 updates, is it because WDDM knows that the Nvidia driver on my system isn't being used and doesn't need updating I wonder?

My closest guess will be the registry thing, some values may remain there after this clean up which in turn is forcing windows to get the updates.

Or some values that need to be there aren't which is why Windows is having a hissy fit?

Yeah, can be either way...
