Need a new graphics card for editing in after effects cc, sony vegas pro 12, autodesk maya 2014, photoshop cc ect. I dont care about gaming.
Budget around $450

The quadro would be better in maya but wouldnt the gtx be better in everything else and be better value for the money?

If you don't care about gaming then the newest best quadro like the K2200 is by far the better choice. Although the 770 might be a bit faster in some applications usually not very noticeable but the differences between the quadro hardware in things like Maya should be noticeable along with the better driver support for professional applications.

Quadrophonic would be a better choice.

Here's a quote.
Basically Quadro cards are for 3D rendering and GeForce cards are for gaming, so id go with the Dell out of the two you chose. Its possibe that the Quadro will not even play your games or it could have screen artifacts because workstation cards run off of OpenCL/GL and not DX drivers.

They don't "run off of OpenCL/GL" drivers, those are apis not drivers, their drivers are optimized for content creation software.
