Hi all, I'm going to be getting a new computer soon and I'll obviously need an os. I much prefer win 7 to win 8.1, but 8.1 is newer. Are there any comparability issues with drivers or other software on win 7? And if you have a good reason to get 8.1, are there any themes or something that can make it win 7 style? Thanks!

If you prefer Win7, then get Win7. Then upgrade to Win9 in 12 months.
The benefits of Win8 are very minor for most people. Better touch screen support, some extra recovery options ('refresh' you PC). A lot of people find Win8 a total pain in the butt to use. However everything you can do in Win7 you can also do in Win8.
