Best PSU for system

so im ordering a new PSU and need advice on what a good one would be.
I would like to have a 1000w

CPU- intel i7 960 3.2 ghz will be upgrading soon
GPU - sapphire r9 290x will be getting a second in 6 months
Mother board- ASUS sabertooth x58

So would you like to plan ahead as you will be upgrading the CPU and GPU in the future? Just keep in mind if you do so you will need a motherboard that fits the socket of the CPU.


But if you Crossfire then a 750W will be enough. But for the extra headroom when either SLI or Crossfire I highly recommend an 850W PSU.

i agree with joe...1000w is for servers and 9 harddrives and stuff...for crossfire 850 is good
