Dear Community,

I'm going off to college, and I need a laptop that has the following:
Intel i7
AT LEAST 8gb of RAM (preferably 16)
Needs to be light and very portable (taking it to many classes)
Around 500gb storage (the more the merrier)

And so, I found these two:
Inspiron 14 5000 Series
XPS 13 Ultrabook

I definitely like the cheaper option, although that IS relatively bulkty/heavy and I know the SSD will help it in its performance.

ALSO!
Both computers come with a default 1.8ghz CPU, yet they both say they can be overclocked to 3.0ghz, anyone know any good software that will let me do that and will overclocking them both to 3.0ghz heat up my computer to a point where it can't handle it?

Solution
Then I would suggest that you invest in a desktop for doing that stuff at home or where ever you'll be living at and a simple laptop for the basic stuff. Most laptops don't even have the option to OC in the bios. And usually with a laptop you're trying to get rid of the heat, not give it more.
