I am using Windows 8.1, and whenever I want to switch my audio output device from my speakers to my headphones, I have to open device manager and set my headphones as my default device. I would like it so that when I plug in my headphones, it automatically makes them the default device, or something along the lines of using them only. When I plug in my headphones, I don't plan to use my speakers, so is there any way to switch without doing this http://gyazo.com/401cd509cb3839d9cbcdde22682c11da it's low quality but I'm sure you get the point. When I plug them into my laptop it automatically switches to the front panel audio. Why not here? BTW I use an HDMI cord for audio and video if that means anything.

Hi, are you using Sony TV or Monitor with built-in speakers? You may disable it by right-clicking, then select Disable. When you disable it, you won't hear any audio until you plug your Headset. And also, make your Headphone your Default Device.
