Hi, I have a dell optiplex 740 small form factor desktop and I was wondering if anyone knew what form factor the motherboard is because I would like to swap all the components into a new case. The only problem I see here is that i dont think it has a removable IO shield for the mobo.

The Form Factor is Micro ATX or Mini ITX. It says SSF (Small Form Factor) either you can assume its one of the two I stated or none of the motherboards are supported because it was pre-built (I highly doubt it).

Well im Hoping to put all the components into a corsair spec 02 case but I think it only supports ATX and mATX

EDIT: just found out it supports mITX too. Thanks for the info though!

The Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-03 support Mini ITX, Micro ATX, and ATX :)

So, my son has a 740 that is really anemic, and I too was hoping to do a case swap for him so he could get a bigger power supply and video card.

Were you able to make your swap, and was it Mini-ATX or mATX?

Thanks.
