I want a gaming pc to have min 300fps on lol and i want a cpu to pair with a gtx 780 so i was thinking of getting either i5 4690k or amd fx 9370

Get the i5. Not sure what you're going to do with 300 fps in a game when most monitors don't refresh above 60 Hz, but you're better off going with the Intel unless you love having more power usage, heat, and less performance.

It is a bit more than a 8320 but delivers better performance and better OC plus base clock also i have one so i can vote for it

An 8350 is basically an overclocked 8320.
 

I'm aware. I just wanted to see if there was a reason he picked an 8350 over an i5.

His username is AMDisAwesome, I'm not sure why you wouldn't expect him to suggest an 8350 over an i5. I mean, I'm a dedicated AMD fanboy, and even I am not that crazy.

5970k? I believe you mean the 5820k! That actually isnt that bad of an idea to be honest. It beats the 4790k but it has 6 cores which makes it a more future friendly choice over the 4790k. Dont forget you will need an x99 board in order to use the 5970k though.. That also means you need DDR4 and that DDR4 right now is OP.
