Should I get this one for cheaper:
http://shop.amd.com/en-us/components/processors/AD6300O... and overclock it (if possible), or get this one:
http://shop.amd.com/en-us/components/processors/AD642KO...
Thanks for any input!

To be honest the one which can be overclock is the best choice. If you can afford then go with it. Because it's better to get the best out of the two if you have the money. But don't forget you will need a good motherboard that will support the overclock. :)

What is your budget on the entire system? Are you using a dedicated GPU or the graphics on the APU? What are you planning on using the system for?

How can I tell if the motherboard can support it?

I can get either of those CPUs, I'm just wondering which one I can get more value from. For now, I'll be using the built in graphics, but I'll be upgrading to a dedicated GPU ASAP.

Yes, I'd like to keep it as cheap as possible with a good brand, $65 or less after rebates. Preferably newegg.ca.

This should do it!

An ATX mobo will be over your budget.

So go with this.

Newegg

Okay, thanks. For future reference, what makes this better than the one I selected for overclocking?

What did you select?

So it will be good for oc-ing? I'm drawn to it because of the ports, SATA 6 GBPS, USB 3.0, PCI-e 3.0.

Yes with 3.0 port of PCI you will be able to install good GPU in the future. So yes it is great for overclocking and suitable for your specs.

Hope this has helped.

Are you sure?

I'm a big fan of MSI's Intel boards as I have been using one for a year now with excellent results. However, the reputation for MSI's AMD mobos leaves a lot to be desired. There are some exceptions, but by and large, MSI's AMD boards are sub-par.

I took a quick look for a review of this mobo but I couldn't find any.

I would have a very close look at this mobo before buying.

I think it will be good, it has good ratings and reviews on all the sites I looked to buy it on. I also found one review which called it amazing, but not good for more than a little expansion. That's fine with me, I'm not going to be expanding, just replacing. If I want to expand I'll just buy another board.
