I have the NZXT Source 210 case and I have been looking at adding more fans to take advantage of all of the fan openings in the case. I'm just gonna kinda say what my hopes are and kind of see if anyone can help me out.
Here is my case http://www.nzxt.com/product/detail/105-source-210-case

  • -The case has seven fan slots 2 at the bottom front for intake one on the bottom near the power supply for intake one on the side panel perpendicular to my graphics card for intake(i think) then two on the top rear and one on the rear plate all the way at the top exhaust as well I want to take advantage of all of these
-If you could please recommenced the best setup for intake and outtake on each of the fan ports so i know i have that right.
-what fans and sizes should i install i believe they all support 120mm and the two at the top rear support 140mm
-could you recommend some fans for me to get brands and types?
-i will need a fan controller due to the fact the my motherboard has the ability for 1 fan and i want to keep the case quiet and not have the fans all at 100% plus the fan controller is something id really like to have would want it to be digital touchscreen though don't like knobs and switches and stuff which should i use?
Also price wise for the controller i could see spending up to 50 USD and for the fans whatever they are maybe like 15 USD each but idk what prices are gonna be like cheaper is always better.
Thanks for any and all help :)

I can't tell you what fans to use or which openings need more air flow. That's a decision only you can make. Generally a front intake and rear exhaust is all you need with a case that has a vented top. Thermal dynamics will cause heated air to rise out the top naturally. And more fans generally mean more noise unless you dial them down so they hardly move any air.

But the accepted path for air flow is: front and bottom intake, top and rear exhaust. Side can either be used as exhaust or intake to cool a gfx card. Intake is usually better so you don't exhaust air from the front or bottom fans before it can do any good inside the case.

If you try to fill all the openings with fans, you'll probably want to add a controller rather than double up on any available MB fan headers or have them running at full RPM by plugging them in the PSU directly.
