PC / BIOS doesn't detect SSD

Hi,

I've been trying to fix my PC for the longest time, and I've done many things to attempt to solve the problem. But these attempts sometimes lead to other problems. This problem is one of them.

Currently, my PC doesn't detect my SSD. I've set the SATA settings to ACHI and SSD mode, but it's still not detected. It was totally fine 1 day ago.

I have no idea how this happens. I don't even know if the SSD is functioning. It did take some knocks, but nothing seemed to be fatal.

Any input would be appreciated,
Thanks

Full story~

The main , killer problem - PC wont shutdown, when I select shutdown from Windows 7 , it shuts down normally, and then boots on it's own automatically.

The suspect - drivers. When I re-installed Windows, the problem seemed to have crept into my PC again.

Everytime I take someone's advice, all thee problem seems to pop out, so for a while, I decided to give up and let my PC go on with it's ways. I could use the PC happily, but occasional BSODs have started to get onto my nerves, and so recently, I decided to try and fix the problem. But again, another problem strikes. Now I can't even boot.

Once I manage to fix the booting issue, I'll re-install Windows again. I'd love to pay someone to help me, but I don't trust the local stores. Is there anyone from Singapore that's willing to help ?
