My computer has been running pretty loudly recently and was wondering if it was down to the dodgy psu i currently have installed. I read somewhere about a bigger case helping with the problem? and was also thinking about buying extra fans. my current set up is
CPU
amd FX4100 bulldozer 3.8ghz

GFX
7770 radeon

RAM 4GB

Motherboard
Gigabyte 78lmt usb 3

with quite a small case and a bad 500 watt psu.

I was considering buying these as upgrades,
PSU
Corsair Builder Series CX 500 Watt

CASE
Zalman Z9 Plus Midi Tower Case

x2 fans
Arctic F12 PWM 4 Pin 120mm High Performance Case Fan

thank you for your time

Solution
Funnily enough it's probably down to the speed your fans are running at. Try turning the target fan speeds down a bit in BIOS, and if you haven't done so already make sure your case is free from too much dust.
