I attempted to change the refresh rate of my LCD monitor which resulted in the colours appearing weird (green appears pink, blue appears orange). Despite changing the settings back to the original the problem continues. This problem is limited to my Windows to Go install and does not happen with the same monitor connected by the same cable to the same computer when booted into a native install of Windows 8.

I'm using Intel HD4000 integrated graphics, I've tried re-installing the graphics drivers, I've also tried removing the monitor from device manager but there still seem to be some registry settings somewhere remembering the old (broken) settings when I reconnect the monitor.

Can anyone tell me how to go about removing all trace of this monitor so that when I re-install it is uses the (correct) default settings? (Please note as this is Windows to Go I can't just roll back to a working version as Windows to Go lacks that feature).

Re-set your settings, do a System Restore or re-install Windows

Thank you! I now feel like a complete idiot for asking this - I'd tried to use the recovery options in the metro interface and run into the problem above of it saying you couldn't do that on Windows to Go and I thought that was the same tool as the system restore through system properties. I just used that and it now works.
