scratching on monitor help

i was cleaning my monitor with microfiber cloth and noticed that there was a small staple with the edges pointing away and while i am sure that it didnt scratch it i then checked the monitor for scratching and didnt find any but am still worried it might be scratched or am i just overreacting?

If you can't see it, why worry? Besides, the panel has a skin over it. You would have only scratched the protective film or skin, not the panel itself.
Turn it on and check for problems.

thanks I counldnt find any scratches anyways and besides i worry to much about that kind of stuff anyways. this was a silly question. it was like 3 am when i asked this so i feel kind of stupid. thanks for your help anyways.
