I'd also go for GTX 770 graphic card, preferably ASUS GTX 770 DirectCU2OC (best performance, best cooling)... other components are good :)

Two good builds, hard to see you being disappointed with either of them :)

I chose the 280x over the 760 because it's slightly faster and has more vram (3gb vs 2gb) but the 760 is still a great card.

Yes if OP wants to spend a little more the 770 is a great choice! I own a DCUii 670 and I looooove it, it destroys everything @ 1080p

I agree with you even tho 280x with 3gb ram is more future proof I think that gtx770 has more quality...

Let's put it this way... @Reso if you have 60MHz monitor and will be playing on 1980x1080 resolution I think that ASUS GTX 770 DirectCU2OC will be best option for you and really is worth a bit of extra money...

If you will go for 2 monitors or 1 monitor with more MHz and bigger resolution than 1980x1080 go for Asus AMD R9 280X 3GB GDDR5 just coz it has more vram

2GB of vram is more than enough for your current monitor. But I suggest that you upgrade to a 1080p monitor if you're upgrading your PC, a good 24" can be had for around £100 these days and you would really be able to make the most of your pc upgrade :)

Alternatively if you have a hdtv you could game on that...

I think you're right. My current PC hasn't been updated for the best part of 6 years! Haha. I think a 1080p monitor shall be a good investment.

Found an ASUS 23.6 inch 1920 x 1080 for £102

Not bad, and I love ASUS because their quality is just so gooood in everything they make... mostly :D

Anyway I would go with ASUS GTX 770 DirectCU2OC and buy that 1920x1080 monitor when you can if you don't have money right now but it's good investment (you can also look if it has IPS, I bought my LG 23EA63 with IPS panel for 130€ few months ago and I love it :)  )
