I plan on getting a Athlon x4 760k GPU and a R9 270X, and I was wondering would these would bottle neck one or the other.

Solution
plywrlw was hinting at it when he mentioned the cooler, but the 760k should be overclocked to get the most out of it so the motherboard and cooler are also important. But broadly speaking the 760k and 270x would be a good match :)

No they will be fine together, I wouldn't put in anything more powerful than the 270X though. Make sure you get a separate cooler like the Coolermaster Hyper Evo 212 for that x4 760K and some nice fast (1600 or 1866) RAM

EDIT, there may be a bit of a bottleneck if you don't overclock the x4 760K a little. Have you considered a Pentium G3258 instead? You can overclock it and upgrade to an i5 chip later using the same motherboard.

Exactly, that's why I edited my earlier post. OP, if you let us know a budget it would be helpful or have you already bought these parts? The x4 760K is a little old these days and you might be able to stretch to an FX 6300 (old but still more powerful)

I don't have too much of a budget, I merely just need some components that are going to hold strongly enough for a few months, the x4 760k won't be anything long turn, just a few months.

Then how about getting a Pentium G3258 and a "9" Series motherboard? You can just swap the Pentium for an i5 when your budget improves. It equals the x4 760K in gaming performance in most cases and is a fantastic overclocker.
