I recently installed Driver Whiz in which it stated my USB drivers are out of date, I clicked update in which they downloaded a zip folder that contains Win2000 & WinXP usb drivers. The problem is ever since it requested the update, the USB ports have become unavailable & I can not seem to get any for Windows 8. I lost my recovery CD is there any website where I can download the drivers or such to get the USB Ports working again. Please I am at my wits end here.

Hello... Drivers are used for Hardware to communicate with your OS. Always get your drivers from the makers website for your Hardware for your OS. What brand is your MB? You will need the Chipset driver and/or USB3.0 driver. Don't trust free downloads from sites other than your Computer or hardware company.

That's what I also thought but when I went onto the company's website I couldn't find nothing. It wont even allow me to "update" the driver from the device manager, keeps throwing out software could not be found for your device online. I need the USB Controller driver software as that's the only thing that has the yellow exclamation mark. My laptop is a LG Notebook R450, intel duo core2. Do you maybe know another web address for LG in which I could locate the software driver

Hello... I only see a driver for Windows 7 available... this will not work for your Windows 8 installed OS this is a common problem with alot of Companies at this time, not having Windows 8 drivers available for their older products, on their websites.
please contact the person that you got this computer from for further information/Disks for your computer... you might need to revert back to Windows 7 to use the drivers from LG, or you need to contact them for further asistance for your Windows 8 installation.

Hello... Look in your Control Panel- Device Manager for any yellow or red icons next to your hardware/device drivers.

1)Go get a Write/Re-writeable DVD/CD...
2) insert it...
3) locate file/files and Copy-Paste to the DVD/CD drive.
Pretty much just like you do with your USB Ext drive.
Label the disks for future reference.

The USB ports are not functioning as well as its throwing out a yellow exclamation mark on the Device Manager in which it wont allow me to update it. My mouse & external hard drive functions on these ports & its not detecting them.

The yellow exclamation marks are next to the Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller, there are 3 of them

Hello... there is away to load a restore point and load the older driver then!!! this is good for you...
1) Uninstall the driver Wiz program. Control Panel- Programs and Features.
2) Load a restore Point before Driver WIZ install Date Control Panel-Recovery-Open System Restore- Show more restore points
3) Select a date that was before you driver WIZ'd your Fine working machine.

it's pretty simple fast fix for stupid installs... if all goes good... Create another Restore point that is up to date... for future use... Some programs installed after that restore point date might have to re-loaded.

Its refusing to restore due to my anti-virus blocking it but I did disable my anti-virus still throwing out that problem. How exactly must I disable it? Must I delete it?

I use AVG its a paid version, What do you mean by a property setting? Where can I locate that? I feel like just backing up all my files onto a DVD & formatting the computer -_-, this thing is driving me in sane lol.

Hello... http://forums.avg.com/ww-en/avg-forums?sec=thread&act=s...

Hello... Well... a computer will only do what it is programed with... " Crap in equals Crap out "

I always like to do a fresh install about every year or two for the fresh clean fast running machine.
