I wonder if you could help me with an issue that I am having with a HP P6-2371EA desktop PC. When I press the on button the power light flashes orange for a second and all of the fans switch on temporarily for a second and then everything switches off, it won't boot at all. There is a solid green light on the rear of the PC next to the PSU. I only once managed to get the PC staying on for a few minutes with the fans running but even then there was no output onto the monitor and no lights flashing on the PC.

I have tried many things with little joy and I'm getting annoyed that I cannot fix this issue I'm having, unfortunately and annoyingly it's just a few weeks out of warranty so the HP team have been unable to assist me at all.

Please could you help me in any way you possibly can to help this issue be resolved because I don't want to pay to have my important and needed PC fixed because it's just outside the warranty (which I was upset to have found to only have been a year), and now it breaks on me!

Solution
Unplug the system from the wall and switch off the power on the PSU if you have a manual on/off switch on the power supply. Reset the BIOS by pulling the CMOS batter for about 15 seconds. While you have the case open, check on the motherboard for any bad capacitors, if any are puffy or have black coming out the tops, you need a new motherboard. Wait an hour with the system unplugged, then try turning it on again.

If it turns on but it happens again, you likely need a new power supply.
Hello... Have you added or Changed anything to your Computer MB?
Have you tried to modify your BIO's or overclock your original settings?

1) Try cleaning your ram sticks with rubbing alcohol and reseating them.
2) Look/Reseat any Power connector/cable from your wall to inside your Computer to your MB... for a loose connection.
