my cpu is amd phenom II x2 560 black edition
my motherboard is: asus m4a88t-m/usb3

my question is: do i need to increase/decrease cpu voltage if i plan to unlock my cpu to 4 cores ?
and if i need to increase/decrease the voltage, to what value should i increase/decrease ?

Solution

Check Advanced Core Calibration (It should be All Cores) and Unleashing Mode(That should be enabled). Check if Active Cpu cores is "4 core operation". This is all done in BIOS (Press F1 or Delete while PC is booting).

if i unlock the two extra cores, wouldn't that require me to increase the cpu voltage, since an additional core needs more power ? my current core voltage is 1.344 i think

This is different from overclocking and overvolting, so you could try to just do the things I said.
