Hi,

I have just recently finished building my PC, i have this old monitor so i try and hook the PC up to it but it has a VGA cable and the graphics card is DVI-D and DVI-I no VGA but then i found an adapter in the graphics card box, so i tried the adapter but the screen said no signal, so i then bought a brand new monitor but it also came with a VGA cable so i tried using it with the adapter but it also said it had no signal.

So i was wondering if i needed a DVI-D or DVI-I cable to get a picture on the screen.

Thanks
