Hey, I found a build here: http://toptengamer.hubpages.com/hub/Best-400-Computer-B... , and then I edited some things around. This build includes an Optical Drive but no keyboard/mouse. I have no mouse because I'm gonna assume everybody has a mouse somewhere in your house. The OS is not included so in all it's 500 including OS)

CPU: Click Here ($90)
Motherboard: Click Here ($50)
Hard Drive: Click Here ($50)
Optical Drive: Click Here ($18)
Graphics Card: Click Here ($130)
Chassis/Power Supply: Click Here ($50)

Total: $388

This is the prices of August 2014 if they change then it's not my fault

I would STRONGLY advise against buying a case/power supply - as the PSU is generally half the cost of the combination and I would never trust a $25 PSU.

No matter where you wish to save your money on a build - you should ALWAYS buy a quality PSU as it is the lifeblood of your system. A cheep PSU can destroy your entire investment - and has done so for many users.

Get something built by Seasonic, FSP, Zippy or Superflower (The first two have some very affordable quality options.)

As you research you will find some brands such as XFX are all built by Seasonic - and are thus quality options.

Some brands such as Coursair mix their manufacturers as such some of their options are not quality builds but value oriented. Do yourself a favor and spend $60 on a good PSU instead of having a potential disaster looming over your system.

There is no memory in this build.

And also the FX-4300 is almost identical to the x4 750k that gets out performed by a $70 pentium G3258. Also, for future upgradability, I am concerned that that MOBO cannot handle the 125w high end AMD chips.

400 is a very unfortunate price point where you're either going to have to sacrifice a 1080p ready video card or memory. $450 is a much happier pricepoint where you can fit a G3258+R7 260x and 8gb of memory.

But an FX-4300 is needlessly expensive for its performance.
