heating cpu or gpu

hi experts. i'm afraid i have temp problems. my hardware consists of the following: Motherboard - gigabyte z87x-oc. graphics card: Nvidia-evga 780 superclocked, arctic cooling freezer 13 co cpu fan, what else should i mention? win 8.1, 8 gb RAM...
the problem is that i set in bios an alarm for when my cpu or gpu reach 90c, and it sounds alot during 3d gaming in high resolutions. should i change or do anything before this expensive machines blows up? is it in any danger?
please help

processor: Intel core i7 4770k 3.5gh. i should mention that i overclocked the computer using "gigabyte app center". used automatic 'easy tune' and it went approx. 25% up...

first usualy people will tell you not to overclocking using the mobo's easy tune or anything of that nature everyone will tell you to manualy adjust it in the bios. second that cooler isnt the best for over clocking either. i would get a hyper evo 212, a noctua cooler the 14 or a liquid cooler if your trying to overclock

so the overclocking is the culprit?
by the way, what would you recommend is the "safe" temperature for the gpu-cpu? i want to set bios alarms correctly.

hi again, during 3d heavy game like assassin's creed 3, i found out that my GPU temp is at 75c, and the fan % speed around the same number. according to your last answer its quite alright, but what if i keep playing for 3 or more hours? when does that temp begin to be hazardous?
