So hey guys, I was wondering if I could run a R9 280x on a poor power supply BUT not at full load, not games, just browsing the net and watching videos. I am asking because I want to check if the GPU actually works and fits but I'm afraid because the psu might not handle it and PC goes *BOOM*
So yea, thanks in advance!
Edit: My psu by the way is a QoRi ATX 550W V2.03 P4 and again, it's poor.
Editv2: And my specs:
CPU: i5 4690k (no oc)
RAM: 8 GB 1600mhz
iGPU: Intel HD 4600 Graphics
Everything else is irrevelent :)

And I know that r9 280x needs 32 amps on the 12v rail, so can this thing even run the gpu? :|

pls dont risk your card and system using that psu ........get a decent 550 - 650 watt psu for the card........so ditch your current psu and get this .....http://www.amazon.com/XFX-PRO650W-Edition-Bronze-Certif...

I really would not risk your whole system. Do you have a friend who can test your GPU if you cannot get a PSU yet. To be honest I probably wouldn't even use the system without a gpu on that psu.
