So i have uninstalled the Asus drivers, updated the BIOS on my Z87 Sabertooth Motherboard, installed the latest Uni Xonar drivers, got stuck at the end with the Uni driver saying 'Please connect Xonar audio device', rebooted. Made Asus Xonar the default output in Windows 7 (64), Ran the Xonar software, and the equalizer shows activity when testing sounds, as well as WMP, however I still get no sound from my headphones from either the front audio panel (where the sound card is hooked into) or the rear lit outut in the back of the sound card itself. I got this Asus Xonar DX used for like $20, do I really need it if I am just using headphones (Sennheiser HD 558's), or will the Sabertooth on board audio be comparable? The headphones are already a huge improvement with onboard audio over what I was using before I started installing the Xonar, but it was cheap so I got it.
