Does Intel Turbo Boost count as overclocking?

My i7 4790k has a base clock of 4ghz and turbo of 4.4ghz. Do i have to change my voltages to comply with intel turbo?

No, Turbo Boost counts as a built-in feature and it'll run at stock voltages.

No, the software itself generally sees to all these needs of adjustments. And its usually safe to Turbo boost as there's some headroom left for VCore. Read more here:

hey deathly..

No it doesn't count as overclock..

but you don't have to adjust the voltages

please don't touch anything after you've enabled the turbo boost

ok great its just that cpu z is reporting 8-44 multiplier and i thought it was overclock since my CPU base clock is 4 ghz
