PCI-E slot problem?please help

Hi guys,

if a PCI-E 16x slot is failing what are the symptoms?because im having problem with my new PC which is always suddenly become a blank screen and cannot do anything except hit the restart button....my 1st guess the VGA is faulty...but theres some ppl say "it MIGHT be your PCI-E slot is failing" but im not sure also since im not a pro in this section...so please help guys what do you guys think?

my systems :
intel i7-4790k - stock cooling
msi z97 gaming 7
msi radeon r9 290 (driver ver 14.4)
corsair cs750m psu
corsair vengeance 2x4gb kit
ocz vector150 120GB ssd
wdc 1TB caviar black

Also, try plugging the GPU into a different PCIe x16 slot (that mobo has 3). If it works, then that PCIe slot is broken. If it doesn't work, you can try the last PCIe x16 slot, but it's most likely the GPU is dying/dead.

hmmmm i tried reseating the card....i even try to use the comp with IGP....with IGP its nvr dies...but today when i apply the card again then i use it for around 2hours its dies again....and right now im still using it
