Hi, Mike2012 here. When I replaced my CPU; I got a spark. But the computer still works and I've had no problems for 5 months. My GPU and CPU have been working normally. My mobo while having some visible damage; works also.

But I've heard that sparks can damage components. So should to be safe, should I replace my components, even though they work normally?

ESD protection obviously worked and protected your components. There is nothing to be worried about.

Thanks. I probably won't replace them then.

I have just seen that you said that your motherboard has some visible damage. If you can get it replaced for free (under warranty), maybe you should. Can you post a photograph of the damaged part?
