Why did you need to mess with the vcore so soon? I would think the multiplier alone would get you nearly that far. Probably why the PC BSODs.

You mean leaving the voltage at auto (default), you couldn't even raise the multi 1 click w/o crashing?!

The I would suspect something wrong with the MB or even possibly the CPU. The OC I have on the i5 in my sig below doesn't have the vcore touched. My old Phenom II X4 965BE gets to 4.0 GHz before I have to up the vcore. You should be able to get 3.5GHz - 3.7GHz with just the multi alone. And I would be disappointed if it didn't get higher on the multi alone.

Do you have a good PSU? One that can provide clean power?

Have you tried anything other than Aida for testing? I like to use Intel Burn Test. It's quick. I run the default 10 pass run for working up the OC. Then prime95 for longer testing. http://www.techspot.com/downloads/4965-intelburntest.ht...

(yeah, I forgot to mention that. IBT is a real stress tester)
I was toying with the idea of picking up the Pentium K and this MB: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
It's the one they used in this review: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/pentium-g3258-b81-c...
And I think they even used the stock cooler.

But after hearing of your results, I may rethink the purchase. Unless you just got a bum MB or CPU, I don't know what else to say. Try 1.3V vcore. You might be too high at auto if it isn't working right. Bit Tech got to 4.6GHz with that voltage and multi increases. (granted, Intel may have sent them a high-binned unit)

well ill pick up 212 evo cooler soon and post here back with results since I dont want to pressure cpu that much without decent cooler, at 1,25V I already get close to 90C

Yeah, that's throttle territory.
