Would painting the motherboard tray, as seen here:

http://www.pcmodhouse.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilde...

Would that make it no longer ground?

If so, how can you paint a motherboard tray and still have it ground?

Or just do you not paint the little things that the motherboard sits on... Cant remember what they are called... The little screw-stand things...

That'll tick me off until I remember...

Thanks,

Miles

P.S. That isn't my build, but here is the link to that build if you want to see more of it:

If you are careful not to fill in the threaded holes that the mtg. screws enter, it will be OK. If they get paint in them, run a threaded tap thru the holes to clean them out.

The things the motherboard sits on (and are screwed to) are called "standoffs". Some are metal to make the ground connection and some are plastic just to keep the board from flexing too much when you install and remove components like RAM sticks and drive connectors.

The ground connections need metal to metal contact but it can be inside the holes so make sure they are bare metal inside.
