I have cable internet and two homes. One home is across the street. I was going to go with a repeater but even the best repeaters they are prone to drops and resets.
Now
I've unscrewed the 3 existing router antennas and screw in the 3 hawking antennas. I am seeing 2 bars across the street with one 6db antenna and full 5 bars with the two 15dBi corner antennas connected.
Equipment
(1) D-link-DIR-655 Router (3 removable antennas)
(1) HAWKING HAI6SIP HIGH GAIN OMNI DIRECTIONAL 2.4 Ghz 6dB Antenna
(2) HAWKING HAI15SC Hi-Gain 15dBi Corner Antenna
Question:
Is there any problems that can occur with a router or laptop / desktop usb adapters running multi high gain antennas from one router?

You could be violating the laws depending on the country you are in and how strong the radios are set to transmit at but I have never heard anyone getting arrested for it.

The largest issue you have is the reason routers have multiple antenna is so they can run mimo. This technology intentionally transmits multiple simultaneous signals out the antennas slightly out of phase and hopes to recover them on the far side. This is how they go from 150-300-450 speeds. When you mess around with the antenna you might get more range but you likely will prevent it from ever being able to use the mimo feature.

Will do some research on mimo problems. I have read that when you replace the 2dbi router antenna's you should replace them with 3 equivalent antenna's but they never explained why or what happens when only 1 or 2 are replaced.
I suspect it will show up under streaming so I may invest in a 3rd 15dbi antenna if it becomes a problem.
