Ok so I just built my first pc.
When I first turned it on, nothing would happen except the fans, and hard drive and the front panel lights would come on, but nothing was happening on screen, but the monitor was detecting an input.

When I tried the second time the gigabyte (motherboard) logo would flash up.

So I re placed my ram and made sure the connections were fine.

Now when I turn it on, the screen is red. Unfortunately I don't have an inboard speaker to listen to the beep codes.

What could be wrong?

All help is appreciated thank you!!!

If the RAM is ok, go for the Graphics card. Make sure it's perfectly plug. Then go for the connector cable port to the graphics card. Make sure the connection is tight. Lastly, go for the port from graphics card to your monitor. My professor told me to adjust the port in the display cable (to the monitor), and voila, the display colors are changing from red, to blue, to perfect color.

If it doesn't work, go to the shop where you bought your rig and smash it to the person who sold it to you. err, I mean, ask them what the problem is.

I don't have a graphics card asni am using the athlon 5350 as an APU. Could anything else be the problem?
I don't want to take it back to the guy I bought it from and smash him with it, because I made it :)

I'll try the cable thing though thanks

An by re placed the ram, I mean re positioned to make sure the modules were fully inserted, not new fresh ram.

Could this still be the problem?
