No display and 1 long, 3 short beeps upon installing sapphire HD 7870 to replace GeForce GTX 560 on Asus P5N-E SLI motherboard. PSU is corsair HX 750. Tried the card on a friend's (newer) PC and it booted fine. I have tried reseating the card, unplugging/replugging all connections. Always get no signal to monitor, followed by one long beep and three short beeps. Computer then stays on until i hit the power button.

1 long, 3 short indicates a memory problem. Try reseating your memory. If that fails, try your friends memory if it's the same kind.

I tried reseating the memory but the same problem occurs. There is no issues when using my old card (GTX 560) like I am now. The error occurs and I simply switch in my old card and everything boots like normal.

The first thing I thought of was maybe your power supply was not sufficient but a Corsair HX 750 should be plenty. You might want to try updating the BIOS. I didn’t see any update for your motherboard that fixes issues with a single graphics card but there were fixes for compatibility with cards in SLI mode.
