That model of the 760 is quite good, if you can afford it, get that

i was thinking this just because of the 30 dollar off. buy a 1 dollar mouse etc. i do heavy streaming/gaming. so just trying to get something that isn't going to conk out on me for the most part.

I'd rather pick asus's card. 60$ more and 2gbs more of gpu memory, plus i dont trust evga that much. Had a GTX 660 and it got friend JUST because i wasnt using the right PSU cable. Not enough safety switches i think. I bet the ROG card cant put you at risk with gaming, simply because its Asus Republic of Gamers.

I just upgraded from a GTX 660 to a new GTX 760 and I AM LOVING IT! Hard to believe how much better this really looks and performs, but it does. I bought this card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125494&cm_re=gigabyte_gtx_760-_-14-125-494-_-Product, (4gb instead of 2gb) because I play a lot of modded games and some of them I mod heavily. It also has a $20.00 rebate. I purchased the Gigabyte version because of the Windforce Cooling system and after searching the internet, I found that this particular cooling system really does keep the card cooler than the other brands. I live in Florida and it gets damn hot here! Sometimes on really hot days, even our brand new air conditioner running constantly, can only keep it at about 73-74 degrees Fahrenheit and it can't cool it beyond that point. I wanted to be sure it stayed cool. I don't know how important that is to you but I thought that I'd mention it. Also, just a little fyi: It needs at least a 500w PSU, it has (2) 8-pin connectors and the card is HUGE! (L=292mm x W=129mm x H=43mm or L=11.496" x W=5.078" x H=1.692") I like it so far and it's under your price point. Hope that helps =)

UPDATE: MY MISTAKE: This gpu has (1) 6-pin and (1) 8-pin connector, NOT (2) 8-pin connectors!!!

I also live in florida so that was a big concern i have a CORSAIR HX Series HX750 750W for my PSU. i ended up going with the 760 GTX 2 gigs for now. superclocked. EVGA has been good for me for many years. until recently my 660 fan started underperforming more and more and eventually crashing/locking up.
