where is the "my computer" icon- what if properties doent come up as a choice?

im so frustrated...right click desktop isnt possible, so I control right clicked and got options....but none were properties??

Sorry, not quite sure which properties setting you are looking for.

Computer, if you are using Windows 7, can be found under the start menu. It can be right-clicked and does have a properties option with settings that can be changed.

If that doesn't help, please be more specific what you are looking for and what OS you are using.

The post is tagged as XP... Most likely for XP, you created a shortcut to my computer, not the desktop icon. Hit start and then right click on "my computer" and select show on desktop. That should do the trick.
