wd red not working

i recently obtained a WD 3 TB WD Red SATA 3.5" NAS Hard Drive and when i look at it under my computer it comes up as a 100 megabyte hdd how can i fix this problem also one of my hdds makes a squeaking noise how can i fix that

the drive that is squeaking is my main hdd it is a ide drive and its a seagate barracuda 40 gig hdd

To start with the squeaking drive, as scout_03 already mentioned, I would suggest you to back up your data. Most of the times this sound indicates that the drive is going to fail sooner or later. Also you can use some software to check the drive's health.
Regarding your WD Red drive question, I would say it is most probably a compatability issue. Could you please provide more information on what is your OS? As your main drive is a 40 gig one, I assume that you had your PC for quite a long time. You can check whether your BIOS supports SATA drives or larger capacity ones.

the hard drive that squeaks is a diffrent one the wd red is not squeaking it is coming up as a 100 megabyte drive even though it is a 3 TB drive
