... but I think I know partly what is causing it. I was hoping if any of you could educated me on why it is happening. I posted a while back about this problem and ended up keeping the PSU as the noise eventually stopped occurring. Link: http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1933197/psu-clicky-static-noise.html
Turns out, the clicking and buzzing from the PSU only starts after another PC is plugged in and used in the same room. It took my friend coming over and plugging in his laptop for me to realize that was causing it. I had sold my old laptop the week after my previous post, which I guess explains why the noise stopped. Also it doesn't only happen in one room. I LAN'd with someone over at their house this past weekend and the same thing occurs when they plug in and boot up their PC. The sound my PSU is making seems to be directly correlated with another PC being plugged in within the same confines. We aren't using the same outlet, either.
What could be going on? And is it a huge issue that will blow up (literally) one day? I don't mind the noise if it isn't that much of an issue beyond occasional annoyance. Would like this mystery solved is all.
