Dual Monitors...Gaming Effects?

Hi

Would having two monitors in which one is playing the game while the other is only on Chrome have an effect on the game itself?

I have a i7 2600k if that helps

A second monitor will tax your GPU more than a single monitor. If you have a decent GPU, you should be fine.

If you've got the hardware then no, there's no effect. What are your specs?

In most games I'd imagine it would be pretty minor.

You can easily test this yourself by finding a repeatable scenario to test with and without the monitor enabled.

The taxing would be beyond minor especially if the second monitor is just showing a webpage; if the game supports dual monitors then it would be noticeably taxing or if you did video editing.
