I currently have a radeon HD 5750 and was thinking about getting a radeon r9 270x but have now been looking at the gtx 770 2gb version(is there a difference between 2gb and 4gb version?). My power supply is a corsair 650 watt and was wondering if i will need to buy a new power supply? I was thinking of getting a rm750watt or higher so i have enough power to upgrade motherboard, CPU etc. in the future.

That power supply will be fine with a 270X or a 770. The extra 2Gb of Vram on the 4Gb 770 is useful for playing games at very high resolutions 1440p and above and for games with massive texture packs and/or bad coding (like Watchdogs).

If you're gaming at 1080p the 2Gb will most likely be enough.

The performance of the GTX 770 is more comparable to the R9 280X so it is much better than the R9 270X but of course it costs a lot more too
