There's a main spec that you can't compare across Nvidia and ATI chipsets; CUDA cores vs. stream processors, they're measured and mean different things. That aside I agree with ^; the core clock and boost clock on the ASUS is better, the effective memory clock is also better.

Absolutely correct, whether it's CUDA cores or stream processors, the more the better.
I recently made the switch to the Nvidia GPU after having been married to ATI for over a decade, I've never looked back. I'm biased against AMD and once they bought out ATI I moved on.

Totally agreed, ATI has been shit. I dont know about the new gpus, but HD series were shit. When i switched to nVidia, i saw the difference immediately.

The wouldn't be if it were still ATI, face it AMD does not learn from past mistakes. No one want to trade heat and good drivers for a lower price tag if they are serious about getting the best performance.
