This is my build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/ftrhvK

As you can see I already chose the hyper 212 evo as a CPU cooler. However someone said that something like the seidon 120v would work better since my case is so small(the reason its small is because I want to have this with me when I travel).

Which one do you think is better for my case? (I don't plan on overclocking but I would rather not use the stock CPU cooler).

Thank you in advance

Solution
You DONT want to travel with the weight of that 212 pulling on your motherboard.

Get a laptop. For 2k you can get a good gaming laptop.

I would actually say the Seidon would have less chance of breaking anything than the 212, because it's a small little lightweight thing attached to the CPU.

But you also have a big ass 780 in there, and that can break as well.

You don't want to travel with a high performance desktop like that, something expensive will break.

Also your computer doesn't make any sense. You bought an unlocked processor (the only kind that can overclock) but a business class motherboard (it can't overclock and is more expensive and designed for business use and has features non business users won't make use of)

I...

If you travel with it, the liquid cooling isnt good, plus if you bust your liquid cooling and spit water on the expensive coponents.. wont be good for your wallet.. Get a smaller cooler, or stay with 212 evo.

I looked at the case's video on new-egg and it says that 160mm is the max CPU cooler it can take. Still if i did use the 212 evo would it restrict or in any way affect the cooling of this pc since it is so big?

I would suggest asking the others around here to retool your system to match your budget and your wants/needs from it.

I guess I will try the 212 and if it doesn't fit I'll get a different one.

When I travel with this I plan to take the GPU and the 212 out of the case. Do you think I should completely take it apart or is that enough?

The main reason I don't want a gaming laptop is because you cant upgrade them and you need to buy a new one every time you need to upgrade.

I know that the motherboard is weird. Again this is my first build and I don't know exactly what to look for in a motherboard. I heard that the chip set is important but I don't know which ones are the best and which one I should get. There is a very small chance that I will overclock in the future so I want my CPU and motherboard to be able to MILDLY overclock. I don't want to go over $100 on the motherboard

I guess my main questions now are: what motherboard do you recommend, what chip set should I get, why, what are the differences between the other types of chip sets?

Thank you for helping me out

I don't really mind doing that since I don't travel to often (but thanks for the info).

what motherboard do you recommend though? What chip set should I get and why? What are the differences between different types of chip sets?

Still, if you're actually planning to travel even regularly with your computer, you should get a laptop like this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834152592
Or maybe one of these:
http://www.dell.com/us/p/alienware-18/pd.aspx

Applying and reapplying thermal paste is kind of alot of work, and you don't want to do it wrong as it can seriously damage your computer.

Most people who want gaming laptops don't actually plan to travel with them alot/at all, so we try to recommend them a desktop, but if you're planning to travel with a high performance computer, you don't want to do it.

Actually they're right. You dont wanna take keyboards and monitors with you or do you? You can get pretty good gaming laptops for 2k

I really don't want a laptop... guess my only option now is to keep the desktop stationary. I mean, I don't NEED to move it.

Well since I decided on that finally, I don't need a small case anymore. What case ( not a micro ATX case) would you recommend? I want it do be very stylish, like maybe a nice design on the front and have room for many future upgrades. A side window is a must have and I wont get a case without one. My price range for a case is $160 MAX.

Thanks again for your help!

■ I can suggest either enermax or corsair for a liquid cooling solution. Definitely won't see your CPU going above 60 degrees celcius full load if you go with an AIO liquid solution.

I never see my temps on my 4690k go above 60 at 1.3 vcore.

As for recommendations for a case, check out the corsair carbide series air 540. Fractal designs has some nice ones. Can't go wrong with lian-li as well, although I don't think they have many windowed options. The bitfenix colossus seems slick as well.

I'd pick Coolermaster Cosmos SE with window. Its wide and got alot of space and it has good airflow.
