i've brought laptop »HP ENVY 15t-j100 Quad Edition CTO Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR)
- Windows 8.1 Single Language 64-bit (6.3, Build 9600) win pro recovery
- i7 intel quad edition 4700MQ 2.40 Ghz (8 cpus )
- 2GB Nvidia that's all i know about it
- 16GB DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm)
- 1TB 5400 rpm Hard Drive
instead of using the NVIDIA graphics card it's using the Intel one. Here's the specification of the laptop .
i have tried even 2 make sure about if my laptop has nvidia or not i have the sticker nvidia on the lap and beside clock have nvidia setting but i can't open it told me ( nvidia display setting not available - an nvidia graphic cards was not detected in ur system ).
also from computer management > device manager > display adapters > shown up only ( intel(R) HD graphic 4600 )
so i need some help 2 solve this problem
how i make sure about having my laptop nvidia card graphics . even I've tried from nvidia site's 2 make it Auto-Detect Your GPU
but told me ((( NVIDIA Products Not Found
We could not find any NVIDIA products within your system. Please try again or use the manual search. )))

well then i'd check out the bios. see if you can locate the card there. set it to use the pcie slot first for it's graphics. if that's already set up like that then i'd say you have a defective one.

~ as a sidenote, a gt 740 will only drain battery life. it's basically the exact same gpu as that intel hd 4600 that comes on the cpu. So by buying a laptop with a gt740 all you're doing is dropping the battery life from 6 or 7 hours down to 4... i doubt you'll get much better fps in anything... though you will get much better driver support so... meh.
