Hi, this is my problem.

I have internet connection on my modem and when I connect my modem to my router the router doesnt give me connection to internet.

To try to solve this I use PC solver and every time it says DNS error.

I tried changing the config of my DNS router putting the Google DNS but still have the same problem.

The router is a Trendnet TEW-672GR.

Please if someone knows how to solve this.

I am going guess you have a cable modem and if you plug you pc directly in it works fine.

Most cable companies only allow you to have a single IP address and they pretty much rig it so only the first device you plug in will work. Although you can do stuff like clone mac address it is much easier to power off/on the modem and then plug your router wan port in as the very first device.

Now if you are calling a modem is actually a router and you are going to put a second router behind it you need to be sure the ip you use for the lan on the second router are not in the same range as the ones used by the modem/router
