Hi everybody,

Hardware-illiterate here, but in need of a replacement for my aging laptop and hoping to make the switch from console to PC gaming. My friend put together the following part list for me and I was hoping for an outside perspective on whether it would get me bang for my buck.

I'm hoping to be able to play current-generation games, but other than that would just use this for work with Office, etc. nothing fancy.

Thanks!

Added much better GPU and PSU. The CX series PSU's have cheap capacitors. Personally i'd also get a larger screen, you can get about 23" for only an extra $20 or so.
