I recently dropped my CPU cooler on the ground from a height of around 3ft. The only damage that I could see was one corner all the individual layers, up to about the 5th layer was dented slightly. I straighten it out and it looks ok. Anyway my question it will still work right, assuming the dents are the only thing that broke/bent. Thanks.

You will have to install to find out if it works properly. No other way to find out.

Yes, it should work just fine if we're talking about an air cooler.

If the dent to the fins are the only problem it will work fine but if it's dropped with enough force to bend 5 layers of fins it's possible you damaged a heat pipe too. Just keep an eye on it and the temps when you install it.
