Hello everyone!

You may have seen me on all the forums helping out others with their needs and I suppose you guys should return the favor ;) I am going to be building a new build and want to know what motherboard I should choose. Asus Crosshair Formula Z or Sabertooth 990FX R2.0? This is a AMD build only.

The specs:

G.SKILL Ares Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-1600C9D-16GAR

XFX HD545XCLH2 Radeon HD 5450 2GB 64-Bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 HDCP Ready Plug-in CardLow-profile Video Card

Thermaltake Urban S31 VP700M1W2N Black SECC ATX Windowed Mid Tower Chassis

Rosewill CAPSTONE-750 750W Continuous @ 50°C

AMD FX-8320 Vishera 8-Core 3.5GHz (4.0GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W Desktop Processor FD8320FRHKBOX

Crucial MX100 CT256MX100SSD1 2.5" 256GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0 or Asus Crosshair V Formula - Z

I love the Formula Z board but I also do not want to flashy paperweight either -- or ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0 . I usually like to ask before I make any decision. I know my specs may not be recommened in your eyes but I did some good research on these parts individually. This computer is for programming, Web Design, etc. Sure I may play GTA: San Andreas or Left 4 Dead but this build is for said purposes.

Down to the actually question, which motherboard do you guys prefer, in regards to quality/performance? I do love looks also :)

PLEASE! NO SUGGESTIONS OR INPUT ON SPECS! Only the motherboard can be taken into account on this project.

Rog boards are the top of the line but are for extreme overclocks and have tons of useless features. The sabertooth would be good for its overclocking capabilites and price.

Well, I am going to go with the Crosshair because I have read a lot of bad things about the Sabertooth 990FX R2.0. It always has a cpu red LED issue and doesnt make it post. Also, this may sounds naive but I am purchasing a Sabertooth Z97 board for my gaming build, and I want to purchase a ROG board for the color scheme and overclocking and such for this specific build, down the road. Thanks for the advice.
